“Jesus was a white man, too. It’s like we have, he’s a historical figure that’s a verifiable fact.” – Megyn Kelly, Fox News host
I often times give Fox News the pass (just ignore them altogether really) just because I understand that they have a specific target market – and I sure as hell am not part of that market, so why bother critiquing their successful business model.
However, I simply cannot allow such an ignorant statement to pass unnoticed. What’s problematic about is is that it’s an affirmation – not a question or an open ended statement – but a clear affirmation of the fact that “Jesus was a white man”. This conveyance of such a rigid belief in contrast with the scientific facts is degenerate and promotes degeneracy.
But then again, I can’t say I’m entirely surprised. I would have been more surprised had Fox News aired that Jesus was not a white man. After all, Fox News can’t anger their viewers by describing Jesus to be as brown as the Muslims we racially profile now and the terrorists in our backyard.
Simply put – Jesus was not a white man. If we take into consideration the evidences that would support the stated “verifiable fact”, then we would get an image of Jesus who was definitely not white – no blue eyes; no dirty blonde, thin hair; no European nose. Jesus was brown.
